Do clients and developers know enough about better performing buildings and the options and standards available to guarantee that they get ‘exactly what it says on the tin’? Is there enough education to ensure that clients and developers understand why they should, and need to, commission better performing buildings, when the standard Building Regulations don’t require it yet?
David Bayliss, Regional Director at Stride Treglown, will talk to Emma Osmundsen, Managing Director of Exeter City Living, about her ten years spent as an ‘Inspired Client’ and her experience as a leading voice in the development and delivery of low energy, healthy and climate resilient homes and buildings. They will discuss the desire and responsibility to commission Passivhaus, net zero carbon, and low carbon buildings, and why all conscientious clients and developers should be demanding such as standard.
