Stroud based renewable energy company, and Stride Treglown’s energy providers, Ecotricity will share their manifesto on how the climate emergency needs to be tackled across the three key areas of the economy that generate the most carbon emissions: energy, transport and food; and their suggested actions for the UK government.
Founded in 1995, Ecotricity was the world’s first green energy company. Throughout their history they have been green energy pioneers. From being the first energy company to offer customers green energy, they went on to build Britain’s first megawatt windmill and the country’s first grid-scale solar park. They are now creating green gasmills with the production of biomethane. Join us to hear from Ecotricity about their inspiring story and how they are working with Cambridge Econometrics to model the economic impacts of a future more ambitious green Britain.
James Peacock, Business Development – Ecotricity
As a former science teacher, self-confessed electric vehicle evangelist and environmentally-aware vegan, it’s probably no surprise that James chose to work for Britain’s greenest energy company whose core mission is to fight climate change. James works in business development and helps the organisations that Ecotricity supply explore the “really neat stuff I love” such as onsite generation, battery storage and EV charging.
